We are a small coffee roastery committed to providing a unique globally-minded product. The Dalai Java makes the conscious choice to roast quality coffee beans. All of our varieties are craft roasted with care in micro batches to achieve the best flavor notes and maintain peak freshness.
The Dalai Java's in-house roaster, Kyle, has a passion for coffee and a passion for flavor. With a discriminating palate he personally selects the offerings from the finest coffee growing regions in the world.

Kyle Poole
As the owner of The Dalai Java, I'm passionate about creating a welcoming space where our community can enjoy quality coffee in a comfortable yet funky atmosphere. My journey in the coffee industry began at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island while studying Culinary and Food Science. What started as a simple love for a great cup of Joe has become the wildest chapter in my life and most fulfilling.
The most rewarding aspect of this journey is seeing my passion for great coffee and great food bring a smile to a stranger's face. Having a positive impact on others lives no matter how small is what makes the long days of hard work worth it.
I believe that coffee brings people together, and The Dalai Java is more than just a coffee shop—it's a gathering place where connections are made, moments are created and memories are immortalized.
